The Academy of Music is “thrilled” to announce the first ever THRILLER PARADE event in Northampton on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 7:30pm. This flash-mob-style dance event will take place on Main Street in downtown Northampton, following the performance of Beetlejuice, JR., at the Academy of Music Theatre.
Registration opens at 10am on Monday, July 13, and closes at 6pm on Friday, October 9, 2026.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Registration fee is per participant.
- Each participant will gain access to a rehearsal video.
- There will be two optional dance classes on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, at the Academy of Music. These classes will be capped at 40 people each and will have an additional cost of $15 each.
- All participants are required to attend one full-cast rehearsal at the Academy of Music on Sunday, October 25, 1:00p-2:30pm. Participants are expected to stay for the entirety of the rehearsal and already know the dance.
- Participants will receive an official participant button at the October 25 rehearsal. Participants must be present to receive their button.
- Participants will meet in Pulaski Park on Friday, October 30, at 7:15pm, dressed as zombies, to get into formation and begin the Thriller Parade at 7:30pm. Costumes and makeup will not be provided by the Academy of Music.
This event is participating in the Card to Culture Program! The Academy of Music will be offering 10 tickets at a discounted price of $10 to any patrons with a valid EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare card. To purchase these tickets, please visit or call the box office Tuesday through Friday between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Limit 4 tickets per cardholder per show.
