“Paskha” – A Celebration of Russian Choral and Orchestral Masterpieces
Immerse yourself in an evening of powerful and evocative music as an authentic Russian choir and orchestra present Pascha, a concert showcasing the works of renowned Russian composers Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Pavel Chesnokov, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Dmitry Bortniansky, and Alexander Arkhangelsky.
Held on the night of the Easter Vigil, this performance brings to life the rich choral traditions and symphonic grandeur of Russian music. The program features deeply expressive choral works, stirring orchestral pieces, and timeless compositions that capture a range of emotions—from introspective and contemplative to triumphant and uplifting.
With the ethereal harmonies of Chesnokov, the profound beauty of Rachmaninoff, the elegant choral polyphony of Bortniansky, the moving sacred works of Arkhangelsky, and the dramatic depth of Tchaikovsky’s compositions, Pascha offers a journey through the grandeur and passion of Russian spiritual musical heritage.
This event is participating in the Card to Culture Program! They will be offering 10 seats at a discounted price of $10 to any patrons with a valid EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare card.
