Four actors perform a live, shot-for-shot parody of Home Alone in “one breathless hour” (New York Times). Critically acclaimed company Recent Cutbacks returns with their hilarious holiday blend of puppetry, live projections, and 90s nostalgia. See what critics are calling “laugh-out-loud funny” (Stagebuddy) and “a reminder of the joy of live theater” (Theatre is Easy).

Recent Cutbacks is a creative ensemble founded in 2014. Their critically acclaimed work sits at the intersection of comedy and theater, and they are best known for their live movie parodies that fuse humor, nostalgia, and lo-fi spectacle. Recent Cutbacks‘ projects invite their audiences to see the world with a newfound exuberance and remind people why they fell in love with movies, theater, and storytelling in the first place. 

This event is participating in the Card to Culture Program! The Academy  will be offering 10 seats at a discounted price of $10 to any patrons with a valid EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare card. To purchase these tickets, please visit or call the box office Tuesday through Friday between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Limit 4 tickets per cardholder per show.
