Pioneer Valley Ballet presents Aladdin and His Magic Lamp on May 10th for two enchanting performances. This reimagined fantasy story starts with Aladdin, a kind-hearted street urchin, and The Great Alberto, a power-hungry circus ringleader vying for a magic lamp that has the power to make their deepest wishes come true.
Aladdin discovers the magical lamp in a mysterious cave and releases a powerful genie who grants him three wishes. Aladdin then uses his wishes to win the heart of the beautiful circus performer “Princess Jasmine”, while battling the evil ringleader of the circus that comes to town. Ultimately, Aladdin uses his wits and the genie’s magic to defeat The Great Alberto and live happily ever after with Jasmine.
This modern reimagining of Aladdin, filled with fantastical characters, beautiful scenery and exquisite choreography, features Pioneer Valley Ballet dancers along with community performers from across Western MA. Join us for a spectacular tale of love, magic, and determination at Aladdin and His Magic Lamp!
This event is participating in the Card to Culture Program! They will be offering 10 seats in the upper balcony at a discounted price of $10 to any patrons with a valid EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare card.
