Everyone eats. Food shapes who we are. Come listen to local people share their stories in CISA’s sixth Field Notes live storytelling event. Ranging from humorous to heartwarming, hear about how local food and farming touch our lives and enhance our communities. Sit with farmers and friends in the glow of community on a winter’s eve.

At Field Notes, local people share their true stories about following dreams, sustaining livelihoods, and connecting with others through food. Recent stories included an adrenaline-fueled race to unload equipment in a lightning storm, a nurse using vegetables to combat diabetes, and a testimony about feeding people in Springfield during the pandemic. Learn, laugh, and go home filled with hope from these local stories.

CISA embraces the diversity of our community, and some of this year’s storytellers are bilingual in English and Spanish. We are pleased to offer interpretation through headsets for audience members who prefer to enjoy the show in Spanish. Please check the box when ordering tickets to reserve your headset. Equipment sign-out will be available in the Salon near the front door entrance of the theater.

Winter season health precautions: All are welcome to mask or unmask as you are comfortable. If you are feeling ill, please stay home to protect the health of others.
